Advanced Feedmill Training

The Stock Feed Manufacturers’ Council of Australia Inc. (SFMCA) and UQ Skills have established a training program to provide flexible non-accredited training services to staff employed across the stock feed industry.
This program provides a diverse range of training for individuals working as feed mill operators and supervisors. Participants can choose to enrol in the full program or specific modules that are relevant to their learning needs. Delivery
This program is delivered through UQ Skills’ online platform – Blackboard.
UQ Skills’ facilitator will be available for mentoring as required. Participants must have relevant industry employment where an onsite supervisor will be available to assist participants through their training experience.
Training is self-paced and progression through the modules will be achieved once the required assessment is completed successfully.

 

Training modules
The modules below outline the full training program. Refer over page for more detailed Module and Topic information.
Module 1 – Introduction to feed milling
Module 2 – Ingredient receival, handling and storage
Module 3 – Particle size reduction
Module 4 – Weighing, batching and mixing
Module 5 – Pelleting
Module 6 – Finished feed storage and handling Enrolment and Fees


Participants who wish to enrol need to do so directly through UQ Skills.
Pricing is per module or a whole program fees (refer to the brochure below. Prices are subject to change) . SFMCA members will be entitled to a discounted rate.

 

Qualification
At the successful completion of each module and the full six modules, participants will be provided with a certificate issued jointly by the University of Queensland and the SFMCA.  This is a confirmation of training completion and will be a valuable qualification for individuals for their existing and future employment.
